The following terms and conditions should be read and understood before providing your personal information and confirming your booking and payment. These terms and conditions, as may revise and update from time to time, apply to all our services directly or indirectly.
“Akili travel” is an e-platform brand of DLC Hospitality & Tourism group SARL incorporated under the Laws of Comoros, and has its registered address at Ouellah Itsandra, Grande Comore with commercial register number 9485-B-20.
At Akili Travel, we do have a code of good practices and goals:
– We pledge 100% transparency with our prices, payment, and cancellation policies to ensure our guests are fully secured with their bookings.
– We promise to work with local NGOs, and associations in education, nutrition, and women empowerment.
– We work hand in hand with the hotel partners to improve the perception of Africa.
– We ensure that all information on the Website is true, accurate, current, and complete.
We are using the terms “Akili Travel”, “we”, “us” or “our” which means Akili Travel brand of DLC Hospitality & Tourism group SARL. The term “you”, “guest” or “visitor” refers to the customer visiting the website or booking one of our partner’s services through our platform. The term “supplier”, “partners”, “property” or “service” means the professional provider of accommodation or services (hotel, hostel, apartment, motel, restaurant, attractions, car rentals, flights, etc…). The term “platform”, or “portal” means the website where the services are offered.
Services and Conditions:
Akili Travel provides partners hotel rooms and services on an online platform through which our partners in their professional and ethical conduct of business can promote, market, advertise and sell their products and services. The platform compares all the partner’s facilities upon guest criteria and offers the best proposal. All the partner’s information, policies, and conditions disclosed on the platform are provided by our partners and uploaded by them through the extranet (services, room type, prices, availability). Akili Travel is not responsible for the information uploaded by the supplier. Although we will use all our resources to check the reliability of the information uploaded by the partners.
The conditions of use of the platform are:
– Be willing to use the website in accordance with these terms & conditions.
Ensure all information fill out by you on our website is true, accurate, and complete as requested.
– Respect the rules of good conduct (no vulgarities, offensive words, or personal attacks). If the rules are not followed the personal account can be deleted and legal action can be taken.
– Be at least 18 years old.
– Only using the website to make a legitimate reservation for yourself or for a third party with an authorized act.
– It is a client’s responsibility to make sure to have a valid document (passport, national ID.), for your travel for at least 6 months valid. We recommend you check the requested visas if applicable.
– It is the client’s responsibility to check the requested or needed vaccines.
Prices & Reservation:
As mentioned, at Akili Travel, we provide hotel rooms and partner services on an online platform. Those services can be booked through our booking engine system provided by our partner Provab Technosoft PVT Limited.
For all reservations, personal information will be requested (name, first name, phone number, e-mail, address, passport number, or/and more information upon hotel policies).
All prices shown and offered on the Akili Travel platform are the best prices uploaded by our partners through the extranet, including taxes. Some local taxes (tourist/city tax) can be applied upon arrival. Akili Travel partner can sometimes upload cheaper rates, those special rates can be submitted to restrictions and conditions (minimum day stay, non-refundable or non-cancellable), please take these conditions into account. After the booking process, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to you and our partners with all the necessary information to confirm the reservation.
At Akili Travel, we do not upload prices or services and are not responsible for them. Although, we will control those to offer to you the best experience.
Payment and Cancellation:
For our client’s comfort payment, and credit card security information, at Akili Travel, we do use a secure and PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment service provider. All the payments will be controlled to avoid misused or fraud. After receiving a booking confirmation e-mail, the Akili Travel team will make sure that your payment has been successful and will reach out to you for any issue; the Akili Travel team will be in contact with you for more information. In case we do not receive the requested information, we reserve the full right to cancel the booking, you and our partner will be noticed.
For all the flexible rates, we charge you a fee of 15% of the total amount. This fee will be deducted from the total amount that you will have to pay at the hotel upon arrival.
For the non-refundable or non-cancellable rate, the total amount of the reservation will be charged as per our and our partner’s terms and conditions.

On Akili Travel platform, you will find different prices, offers, packages with different restrictions, policies, and conditions by our partners. Make sure to read all the conditions properly before to confirm any reservations. The general cancellation and no-show policies are available on our platform on the hotel information page.
All transactions can be processed in Comorian Franc, Dollars, or Euros. The applicable exchange rate can apply additional fees that may therefore be levied by your bank if payment is made from another country or another currency. In case of cancellation and refund, we are not held liable for any additional fees applied by the bank. In case we established a refund, we will refund the credit card used for the booking. This process takes approximately 10 open days.
In the case of force majeure (natural, economic, medical, or external), the cancellation policy from the hotel will be applied.
You totally acknowledge your itinerary and destination, and we recommend you take out adequate travel insurance in order to cover occurrences such as loss or damage of baggage/ equipment, personal accident, cancellation for illness or injury, and more travel issue. At Akili Travel will not be responsible in case of any incident or insurance not taken by the client.
These terms and conditions are governed by the relevant provisions of the uniform acts on general commercial law, on commercial companies, and economic interest groupings, of Law N-13-014 / AU of 26 December 2013 on competition in the Union of Comoros.
The parties therefore agree that all conflicts arising from or in relation to these general conditions, in particular disputes concerning their validity, legality, modification, or termination as well as the legal relations or legal effects directly related to them, will be decided by the Comorian courts with the possibility of appealing to the Common Court of Justice and Arbitration of Ohada This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding and agreement between you and Akili Travel in relation to the Website and services except for statements made fraudulently, each party agrees that it will have no recourse in regarding any false statements made to it on which it relied upon entering into this Agreement.
